The Arsenale Venus draws inspiration from a timeless icon born from the sea — Botticelli’s Venus. Painted around 1485, The Birth of Venus is a cornerstone of Renaissance art, blending classical mythology with Florentine ideals of beauty and proportion. This image serves as the foundation for the Arsenale Venus dial: hand-painted in miniature, it preserves the spirit of the original while transforming it into wearable art. Venus appears in her classical pose, accompanied by one of the Horae, their flowing auburn hair set against a sunburst blue backdrop created specifically for this edition.
