There’s a different way of looking at time. A way in which each instant is tinged with new shades, where the material refracts light in ever-changing ways, and the dial becomes a landscape, an emotion, an identity.

This is how the Nereide Ti-Damascus was born — the latest chapter in the Nereide collection by Venezianico. A timepiece that combines the thousand-year-old tradition of Damascus steelwork with the art of material experimentation. A diver’s watch that not only challenges the depths of the ocean, but also pushes the boundaries of design— where every dial becomes a truly unique work of art.

Crafted from an innovative Damascus titanium, the dial is created through a complex and fully artisanal process, in which different titanium alloys are fused, laminated, layered, and folded using techniques inspired by the historic forging of Damascus blades. After forging, the surface is polished and undergoes a controlled heat treatment that triggers selective oxidation, revealing multicoloured patterns that shift with light refraction.

The result is a kaleidoscopic texture, impossible to replicate and always different — where each dial (Precision-Cut 0.4mm Layer on brass base) tells its own story. No piece is identical to another: in each one, time refracts through unprecedented, vibrant, poetic reflections. Not just a watch, but a window into the movement of matter.

Engineered to withstand high pressure, the Nereide Ti-Damascus is water-resistant up to 200 metres and protected by a high-resistance anti-reflective sapphire crystal. The tungsten bezel — one of the hardest materials known — ensures outstanding resistance to shocks and scratches, while the Sansovino-style stainless steel bracelet combines comfort and elegance, giving the watch a character that is both robust and refined.

The 42mm case in 316L stainless steel, a material resistant to corrosion and marine conditions, houses a Sellita SW200-1 automatic movement — a Swiss-made mechanism renowned for its precision and reliability. Visible through the wide sapphire crystal window on the caseback, the skeletonised rotor, developed in-house by Venezianico, features Côtes de Genève in a radial pattern and a violet IP finish, creating a chromatic continuity with the dial’s shades and harmoniously linking the front and back of the watch.

Produced in a limited edition of 500 individually numbered pieces, the Nereide Ti-Damascus is a creation that fuses tradition and innovation, matter and light, function and poetry.
