ed coral has long stood as a symbol of life, good fortune, and rebirth. With its intense color and naturally sculpted texture, this marine element has captivated cultures across centuries, becoming a precious material rich with meaning. Its natural origins and the way it hardens upon contact with air have inspired legends lost in time.
At the heart of this long-standing tradition lies Nereide Corallo, the latest creation from Venezianico: a diving watch that pays tribute to the historic bond between Venice and this captivating material—symbolically represented in Giambattista Tiepolo’s fresco Neptune Offering Gifts to Venice, where the sea god presents coral to the Serenissima as a sign of prosperity and maritime power.
Brothers Alberto and Alessandro Morelli—with Alberto recently joining the prestigious Grand Prix d’Horlogerie de Genève (GPHG) Academy—bring this vision to life by creating a dial through an artisanal mosaic technique that combines authentic fragments of red coral. Each piece is hand-selected and arranged, resulting in a unique and unrepeatable composition. This innovative approach in watchmaking enhances the natural irregularity and distinct character of every single dial.

Once the mosaic block is created, it is precisely cut using waterjet technology to preserve its structure and prevent fractures or imperfections. The dial is then polished by hand to achieve a brilliant, refined finish, akin to that of fine jewelry.
As with previous creations: Swiss mechanics, Venetian soul. Housed within a 42mm case in 316L stainless steel, water-resistant to 200 meters, is the Sellita SW200-1 caliber, renowned for its outstanding reliability.
The movement is further enhanced by a skeletonised rotor, adorned with radial Côtes de Genève decoration and refined with anglage. An extra touch of exclusivity is added by the 3N red gold galvanic treatment, echoing the signature color of the brand.
Everything is protected by an anti-reflective sapphire crystal, while the tungsten bezel—an exceptionally hard, scratch-resistant material—ensures maximum durability. The look is completed by an Italian rubber strap, giving the watch its distinctive sporty yet elegant aesthetic. Nereide Corallo is a true symbol to wear on the wrist—a fragment of sea and history, a narrative that stretches from the ocean depths where coral is born, through ancient trade routes, to the expert hands of artisans who still transform raw matter into art.
A tribute to tradition, natural beauty, and the independent spirit of Venezianico, this watch blends technique, culture, and passion, turning time into an experience to be lived—every single second.
