Chronoswiss embraces darkness with the Space Timer Black Hole

Embarking on a cosmic odyssey beyond light and time, the Swiss watchmaker unveils the new Space Timer Black Hole. Drawing inspiration from the singularity and event horizon of a black hole, this limited-edition piece is a surreal vision brought to life with utmost precision and artistic mastery.

A

s pioneers in the art of watchmaking, Chronoswiss is back to reveal its latest cosmic rule-breaker. The Space Timer Black Hole takes you on a journey into the darkest, most mesmerising corners of the universe, where not even light can escape. The Black Hole becomes the newest celestial destination, following the brand’s luminary hits: the Space Timer Moonwalk, Jupiter, and the sun-drenched Space Timer Solaris.

Enter the singularity: a force so powerful it swallows entire galaxies. That’s the inspiration behind the Space Timer Black Hole, a watch as mysterious and thrilling as the cosmic phenomena it’s named after. The menacing mood of the watch is encapsulated in its black 44mm DLC-coated case, setting a stark canvas for the astronomical spectacle that unfolds on the dial.

Skilfully crafted in its Atelier in Lucerne, the dial is a blend of darkness and gleaming wonder. At its core is a hand-guillochéd representation of a black hole’s singularity - an intricate pattern that pulls your gaze into the abyss. Surrounding this spectacle, the brand’s nonconformist watchmakers created 17 layers of nano-printing, derived from an actual NASA image of space, adding further depth and dimension to the dial. It’s a visual experience that will have you contemplating the infinite.

Just above the event horizon at 6 o’clock, a titanium moon phase appears to be almost pulled into the spiralling black hole. It’s a surreal vision brought to life with utmost precision and artistic mastery. When the lights go out, the dial transforms into a radiant night sky, thanks to the intense application of Super-LumiNova. Like its celestial cousins, the Space Timer Black Hole features the iconic architecture of the collection. Underneath the decentralised hour ring, the gears are exposed, revealing a spectacle that rivals the celestial bodies themselves.

Equipped with the Chronoswiss C.308 automatic movement and a 42-hour power reserve, the Space Timer stands as a testament to Chronoswiss’ commitment to crafting the epitome of Swiss luxury and avant-garde innovation. In an edition limited to just 50 pieces globally, the Space Timer Black Hole is a watch for the truly adventurous - for those unafraid to journey into the unknown and explore the limits of time and space. Don’t just watch time pass; engage with its deepest, darkest mysteries.
