he Fears Boutique Editions feature a new colour, ‘Mallard Green’, which has not been used on a regular production Fears before. This unique dark green features hints of grey and blue, recreating the rich colours that adorn the head of the mallard drake duck. Available on both the Brunswick 38mm and Brunswick 40mm models, this colour is achieved using a galvanic coating of silver (99.9% pure) before each dial is hand painted with a translucent varnish that incorporates drops of pigment to achieve the exact desired tone.

Both dials feature a sunburst finish that further enhances how the colour interacts with the light and feature applied diamond-polished numerals in Fears’ bespoke ‘Edwin’ typeset.

All Fears Boutique Editions are available to purchase in person from the Fears Showroom in Bristol, where the rest of the Fears core range is also available alongside a curated display of items from the Fears Archive. The watches can also be purchased through the Fears Owners’ Club store via the Clubhouse website. The Fears Owners’ Club is free to join and is open to all owners of a Fears watch made from 1846 through to present day.

The Boutique Editions are not limited to these two Brunswick models as any future models that join the Fears core range will be offered in ‘Mallard Green’ as Boutique Editions. Each Boutique Edition watch will be priced the exact same as the regular production counterpart(s) and are not limited in either edition or production.

I was keen that this shouldn’t be restricted to one model, limited edition or priced above the core range, but rather something that was able to link the whole Fears catalogue. The decision to also offer the watch through our Fears Owners’ Club allows us to give our devoted owners around the world the opportunity to access these special pieces.”

The Fears Boutique Editions are currently available as both Brunswick 38mm and Brunswick 40mm models. They are available to purchase today from the Fears Showroom in Bristol, England and via the Fears Owners’ Club website, retailing for £3,350 inc. VAT (£2,791.67 ex. VAT) for the Brunswick 38mm and £3,750 inc. VAT (£3,125 ex. VAT) for the Brunswick 40mm.
