ndependent brand Gyavius has announced the release of its latest mechanical tool dive watch. With its lugless retro-futuristic design that is meticulously handcrafted and hand finished, this watch showcases the brand’s commitment to exceptional craftsmanship and attention to detail.
The watch boasts a 45 mm case with integrated strap bars that is made out of 316L Stainless steel. Top to bottom size is 50 mm to make it wear like a smaller watch. With a thickness of 13mm (including the dome) and strap size of 22mm it is also very comfortable and easy to wear. Paired with a solid stainless steel case back and thick domed mineral crystal glass it was successfully tested to just over 100ATM (approximately 1000M).
The sleek and sophisticated look is underlined by the brushed finish on the case and its sides polished to a high shine. This creates a beautiful contrast and adds a touch of elegance to the design, making it perfect for everyday wear.
The new watch also features a bi-directional 60 click bezel and a matte black, that is pad printed the traditional way. The Lume is manually applied to ensure that a copious amount is deposited, resulting in a highly satisfying sculpted relief effect. A perfect match to the brushed stainless steel minimalistic hands. The double sealed screw crown has a very sleek profile that protrudes gently on the side of the watch.
The movement of choice is a proven Swiss Made workhorse, the Sellita automatic SW200-1. This model will be manufactured in small batches, with everything except the movement made in-house, ensuring that each watch is a unique masterpiece. With less than 50 pieces in each batch, it is limited to the brand’s own ability to manufacture them.
The watch comes with a special packaging (’The Capsule’), that not only protects the watch but also serves as a stylish display stand. Every watch will be assigned a distinctive number and will be accompanied by a smart card. This smart card will provide you with access to the brand’s database, where you can view specifications and manufacturing information, such as build dates and batches, for your particular watch.
