omos is getting super classy this winter with a new version of the Nomos icon Tangente: the deep blue dial with sunburst polishing, gold-plated before being galvanized, ensures a fascinating shimmer and a serious yet at the same time festive wristwatch; a dress watch straight out of a picture book. The new model comes in two sizes, with diameters of 35 and 39 millimeters.
As always with Tangente, the case is the shape of a coin, with the famous typography symbolizing linearity, and the fine hands the precision of the movement. Rhodium-plated hands and silver numerals and indices provide subtle accents, while the gold “neomatik” lettering denotes the innovative movement that powers this watch: the highly precise and sensationally flat DUW 3001 automatic caliber, manufactured in-house, ticks away on the inside of this watch.
The flat stainless steel case with angled lugs and the sleek linear typography make Tangente the most successful watch from the manufacture.
The in-house automatic caliber DUW 3001 is efficient and highly precise. Its pacesetting: the proprietary escapement Nomos swing system. The rotor winds the watch in both directions. Standing at a mere 3.2 millimeters in height, this automatic caliber has an exceptionally flat design and is what makes this level of elegance possible in the first place.
