or the first time in its history, the family-owned watch manufacturer Aerowatch has created a watch in an industrial design with an integrated metal bracelet. Aerowatch has always been committed to the values of Swiss watchmaking. The new Milan collection employs stylistic elements to underscore in unmistakable fashion the company’s roots in the fairytale Jura region with its mighty fir trees. It is also home to the third-largest bird of prey, the red kite, which lends its German and French name – Milan – to the collection.
The Milan by Aerowatch is manufactured in stainless steel and presents a discreetly sporty look that is accentuated by the lugs that form a unit with the case. The serrated bezel rim and the protected crown flow unobtrusively into the harmonious overall appearance and underscore the clean lines. The Milan showcases an elegantly sporty look in the version with a royal-blue leather-rubber strap that matches the dial in the same colour.
On closer inspection it is obvious that nothing about the watch is left to chance, but even the tiniest detail reflects the Aerowatch philosophy; perfection and attention to detail are clearly held in high regard. Particularly worthy of attention is the sophisticated implementation of the emblematic fir-tree motif on both dial and second hand. The graphical fir-tree pattern creates a depth of field and transforms the dial into an idyllic coniferous forest, tempting you to take a mental stroll through the vastness of the Jura mountains.
With the stylish Milan, Aerowatch launches the first of a range of watches with integrated bracelets at an affordable price. The men’s collection features a decorated Sellita automatic movement that can be admired through the sapphire glass case back.
The inspiration behind this new creation came from none other than René Beyer. Indeed, Beyer Uhren & Juwelen on Bahnhofstrasse in Zurich was the first customer to place its confidence in Aerowatch and have its own timepieces made by the Jura-based manufacturer. It is the first time that Beyer has offered a watch from Aerowatch at his specialist retail store.
The Milan will be offered exclusively at Aerowatch retailers from December.
