egid’s new Mirage Black Series is plunged into darkness by its DLC coating. Its black, satin finish offers a new interpretation of the watch’s curves and unique shape. The Hegid Mirage watch was first unveiled in 2020. Its creation was influenced by the late 1960s, when the world had so much to promise, and everything seemed possible. Jérôme Coste, the Artistic Director of Hegid, imagined it as the ultimate companion behind the wheel of a transalpine supercar; the Lamborghini Miura, sailing on the sinuous and hilly roads of the Riviera. The voluptuousness of Mediterranean sunny days, leads harmoniously to magical evenings when the sun goes down; enter the world exhilaration under the stars the night sky.

Now dressed in its elegant evening apparel, the Mirage Black Series timepiece becomes mysterious and reveals a very different personality. The Capsules and Carrures of the Mirage collection are designed, manufactured and assembled in France, at the Swiss border (where the movements are manufactured with ultimate precision).

The Nappa leather Virage straps, which are original with their quilted strands, are reminiscent of the comfortable, plush leather seats of 1960s sports cars; they are meticulously crafted by hand in French workshops by artisans. The DLC treatment used specifically by Hegid to protect the Mirage Black Series, is the Tribobond™ 40 DLC, which features superior abrasion and scratch resistance properties. It is produced by the Ionbond company near Paris, France.

Hegid watches are composed of three parts: the Capsule, the Carrure and the Strap. The different elements that compose the Mirage Black Series can be acquired separately and adapted to the pre-existing Hegid watches. The wearer’s timepiece wardrobe can instantly be changed and adapted according to desires and needs. Hegid’s patented EVOL system allows individuals to never get tired of a watch by creating your own evolution.
