ce Jewelers announces its appointment as an Authorised Retail Partner for Biver, the independent haute horlogerie maison founded in 2023 by Jean-Claude Biver, one of the most influential figures in modern Swiss watchmaking, and his visionary son Pierre Biver. The partnership brings Biver to Ace Jewelers’ boutique in Amsterdam, where Ace Jewelers will serve as the exclusive authorised retailer for the Netherlands. Ace Jewelers is one of only three partners in continental Europe, alongside Bucherer and À l’Émeraude.
Beyond continental Europe, Biver’s retail presence is focused on a small number of globally respected partners, including Material Good in New York and Miami, Ahmed Seddiqi in Dubai, The Hour Glass in Singapore and Tokyo, and the Biver Lounge in Hong Kong. Against this international backdrop, Ace Jewelers joins the network as an independent family business with a long-standing focus on independent watchmaking and a collector-led approach.
After more than five decades at the highest levels of Swiss watchmaking, Jean-Claude Biver embarked on a new, deeply personal chapter together with his son Pierre. Freed from the constraints of corporate structures, Biver was conceived as a fully independent maison dedicated to uncompromising watchmaking, artistic integrity, and long-term vision. Rather than positioning himself at the centre of the brand, Jean-Claude Biver has approached this project as a facilitator, shaping the vision while allowing design, craft, and execution to speak for themselves.
The brand made its debut with the Carillon Tourbillon, a highly complex grand complication combining a minute repeater, tourbillon, and micro rotor. Conceived as both a technical and philosophical statement, it articulates the maison’s approach to contemporary haute horlogerie through traditional complication-making paired with a modern sense of proportion, finishing, and restraint.
In 2024, Biver introduced the Automatique, a three-hand watch that distils the maison’s values into a more understated yet equally refined expression. It is characterised by exceptional finishing, architectural balance, and dials crafted using precious metals and natural stones, executed through traditional dial-making techniques.
Across its collections, Biver places strong emphasis on what the founders describe as “invisible beauty”: hand-finishing applied to every component, including surfaces unseen by the wearer, and a design language that rewards close inspection rather than immediate spectacle. Each watch is the result of extensive manual work across movement construction, finishing, and dial execution, reflecting the maison’s focus on depth of craft, technical integrity, and long-term relevance rather than scale.
Ace Jewelers’ long-standing focus on independent watchmaking and long-term partnerships underpins the collaboration. For decades, Ace has worked closely with collectors seeking rare, meaningful timepieces, offering personal guidance and deep product knowledge rather than transactional retail.
Reflecting on the partnership, Alon Ben Joseph, CEO of Ace Jewelers, comments: “Our family had the honour of working with Jean-Claude Biver during his time at Zenith and TAG Heuer. Today, I am honoured to call Pierre a friend, and when he asked us to come on board as Biver Ambassadors, we immediately said yes. It has become a true family affair: two family businesses working together. In both cases, father and son work side by side within independent family businesses – a shared dynamic that strongly resonates with us. We share the same ethics, a long-term vision, and the ambition to add lasting value for our clients, while enjoying the journey.” This shared family-driven approach, combined with a mutual belief in independence and craftsmanship, forms the foundation of the collaboration.
From the brand’s perspective, Pierre Biver adds: “From the very beginning, we wanted Biver to be represented by partners who take the time to truly understand what we are trying to build. Ace Jewelers has long been known for its close relationship with collectors and its thoughtful approach to independent watchmaking. For us, this partnership is not about expansion, but about placing our watches in the right hands, with people who value depth, continuity, and long-term commitment.”
Biver watches will be in-stock and available by appointment through Ace Jewelers in Amsterdam. Interested collectors are invited to enquire for further information or to arrange a private viewing. Further details can be obtained via www.AceJewelers.com.
