Another year has passed, and the annual watch show SEW (Salon Exceptional Watches) is once again calling for attention. As in previous years, this year’s ticking treasures will be displayed in the opulent halls of Žofín Palace in the heart of Prague.

T

he elegant halls of Prague’s Žofín Palace will host the 11th edition of the Salon Exceptional Watches exhibition on November 7–8, showcasing extraordinary timepieces. This exclusive event, where watches are not merely timekeepers but living entities with a story, continues to hold the prestige of being the largest watch fair in Central and Eastern Europe. Nearly 2,000 watches from various countries around the world will once again compete for attention under one roof.

Under the patronage of main partners such as KB Premium, Audi (represented by dealership Auto Jarov), and Nová Dubaj (a real estate company), the exhibition will once again bring together famous names from the watchmaking world. Last year, SEW surpassed 50 exhibitors and attracted nearly 4,000 visitors. This year, it aims to surpass those numbers — and it’s well on its way, once again connecting established brands, independent ateliers, and up-and-coming creators.

Among the highlights of the exhibition will once again be icons such as Bell & Ross, Franck Muller, Maurice Lacroix, H. Moser & Cie., Czapek Genève, Oris, Frédérique Constant, Antoine Preziuso, and German brand Sinn. Newcomers this year include Bianchet, Arnold & Son, Beauregard, Frédéric Jouvenot, Sartory Billard, and others.

As in every year, Czech independent watchmakers will strongly represent the local scene, including Luděk Seryn, Prokop & Brož, as well as brands like Robot and Prim Manufacture 1949. Japanese brand G-Shock is also preparing a noteworthy presentation, showcasing exclusively their premium models from the highly sought-after MR-G and MT-G collections.

Just like in the previous ten editions, SEW continues to emphasize education. The exhibition will feature expert lectures, discussions, and live demonstrations of traditional watchmaking crafts. These lectures, led by Igor Sirota, will host major names from both the Czech and international scenes — such as Jaromír Ondráček, Libor Hovorka, and Dutch watchmaker Pim Koeslag, known for developing most of the in-house calibers at Frédérique Constant, and more recently for his work at the Dutch atelier Christiaan van der Klaauw.

The main program will also include the opportunity to measure the accuracy deviation of mechanical watches brought in by visitors, as well as vote in the Watch of the Year competition for the most popular watch of the show.

The year 2025 will also introduce an extended exhibition space at Koscom, one of Prague’s largest watch retailers. A shuttle bus will run at regular intervals between the main venue and Koscom’s showroom, which will showcase not only their regular offerings but also interesting models and limited editions from represented brands such as Norqain, Union Glashütte, Junghans, and Perrelet.

Tickets are already available for pre-sale, with standard admission priced at CZK 290, and a VIP package for CZK 1,990, which includes access to the gala evening held on Friday, November 7 at 7:00 PM.
