Haldimann Twin Regulator

Comprising two independent precision clocks, this type of creation has fascinated clockmakers for two centuries. When they are running simultaneously, the pendulums influence each other and, after a while, swing in opposite directions at an angle of 180 degrees. This system is extremely reliable and, even though the two clocks are totally independent of each other, they remain mysteriously synchronised. Adjustments can be made by increasing or lessening the weight on the plates.
