European Watch Clock and Jewellery Fair 1982 BF 214
This pocket watch, dubbed “Renaissance”, will surely go down in history as one of the all-time masterpieces of mechanical watchmaking. Made by Neuchâtel craftsman Dominique Loiseau, his assistant Bruno Vigers and Italian engraver Odino Domenichini, it is composed of 600 hand-crafted parts. It represents 3,500 hours of delicate work. Every part was cut out, filed, engraved and polished by hand. It can be admired at the Basle Fair in the [bei Watch booth.
Connoisseurs please note : tourbiJion movement with LeRoy detent escapement (the complete carriage weighs less than one and a half grammes); “grande sonnerie”: strikes hours and quarters automatically and repeats hours, quarters and minutes at will; perpetual calendar with moon phases; mean solar time, shows the rise of the morning and evening stars; zodiacal indication of which constellation the Earth is in; temperature compensation device and thermometer; power reserve indicator. It is wound by means of a chased gold key and has 36 hours’ reserve power when fully wound.
