Patek Philippe’s “Dome” clocks each display a unique decor composed of opaque and translucid cloisonna enamels. The partition strips are crafted from fine gold, each model being covered with anything from 18 to 20 metres of gold wire. Ever since its foundation in 1839, Patek Philippe has sought to perpetuate in this way the art of Geneva enamelling, both cloisonna and miniature. The company thus continues to honour and sustain the trade’s seven basic crafts : watchmaker, designer, jeweller, gemsetter, engraver, enameller and chainsrnith. (PATEK PHILIPPE)
