Watch-dial illumination systems have been around for quite some time,
although beaming the light uniformly over the dial has remained a problem.
Candino’s resourceful solution is a light ring powered by a miniature bulb.
The dial shines brightly enough for the watch to be used as an energy
pocket lamp in case of need. The light has its own power source, a separate, exta-thin 3V lithium battery. Quartz movement, case water-resistant to 30 m, scratch-resistant sapphire or mineral crystal. (CANDINO “Lightwatch”)
