This model has accompanied the marine rescue workers of the German Maritime Search and Rescue Service on their missions since 2002. The lighting on sea rescue cruisers is often turned down to an absolute minimum to ensure the best possible visibility at sea. Hence, the “Lumen” has to permit clear time readings during night-time rescue missions.
