The Australian actress has just been announced as a brand ambassador and is set to create a new range of contemporary watches with Richard Mille.

Richard Mille is highly regarded for its high performance timepieces. The manufacture’s use of super-light materials and advanced designs have ensured high performance and reliability of its timepieces even during the most intense activities.

Accordingly, the brand has surrounded itself with a stable of individuals who deal with high performance to represent the brand. Ambassadors and friends of the brand include the likes golfers like Bubba Watson and Diana Luna, tennis starts like Rafa Nadal and up and comer Alexandre Zverev, racing drivers Felipe Massa and Sebastien Loeb, and even martial artist and actor Jackie Chan.

What makes their collaboration unique with Richard Mille is that they can actually wear the timepieces at all times, even during intense competition. That’s a welcome change from the norm, where the ambassador usually just straps on the watch after the fact for a photo opportunity.

The brand’s latest ambassador, however, is not a high performance athlete. But that’s not to take anything away from her credentials. The newest member of the Richard Mille family is Australian-born actress Margot Robbie.

Robbie is already touted for her performances, although in her case they have been on the silver screen. Since stealing the show in 2013 in Martin Scorsese’s hit film The Wolf of Wall Street opposite Leonardo DiCaprio, Robbie has taken Hollywood by storm.

Her performances have paved the way for other starring roles, too, including in the upcoming I, Tonya motion picture, in which she stars in as figure skater Tonya Harding.

Margot is clearly charming and an excellent actress. But she also has an entrepreneurial spirit. She launched her own production company, LuckyChap Entertainment, and currently has several films in development under the production banner including Bad Monkeys, Beautiful Things and Marian.

Robbie, then, is a bit of an all rounder, and she complements the same contemporary spirit that Richard Mille embodies. That’s why I’m curious to discover the collection in which Margot will bring her creative energy to make a new series of feminine timepieces for the Swiss watchmaker.

For now, all we know is that Robbie excited to get the partnership going:
