The new Marc Jenni Prologue WDT is an evolution of the Prologue model with its unique winding and setting mechanism, the design of which puts the emphasis firmly on the tactile.

A function selector in the 4 o’clock position, whose setting can be seen in the “WDT” subdial right next to it, determines the action of the unique rotating caseband, which is used to perform the setting and winding functions. This combination of the reassuring click of the selector and the highly tactile sensation of setting the time using the rotating ring turn winding and setting the watch into a playful distraction.
In this latest model, a 44mm case in brushed stainless steel gives the collection a sporty touch, with which Jenni hopes to appeal to a wider audience for his high-end timepieces (he is a member of the AHCI, the elite association of independent watchmakers).
“The Prologue WDT is a natural Evolution. It enriches the collection with an elegant, sporty and still very different and rare timepiece,” he says.
Marc Jenni also takes the idea of “Swiss Made” a step further by publishing the place of origin of the watch’s main components on the brand’s website. Thus we see that the majority of components come from the famous watchmaking areas of Switzerland (Geneva, La Chaux-de-Fonds, Fleurier, Le Noirmont…). Paradoxically, however, the company is based in Zurich.
