KudOktopus – Please do not feed!

March 2011

www.worldwatchweb.com - During Baselworld 2011 Stefan Kudoke will present his latest handmade creation: The “KudOktopus”.

True to its name, an octopus is plastically worked into the movement - skeletonized and engraved by hand. The creature is wrapped in rose gold with his suction cups in white rhodium.

The remaining movement, as well as wheels, are galvanised in black rhodium. With its all-embracing tentacles KudOktopus entangles the steadily swinging balance. Holding wheels and screws tightly it captures the most precious – time.

KudOktopus – Please do not feed!

With his heart beating at a rate of 18’000 vibrations per hour his suction power lasts for 46 hours. In order not to attach himself to the arm of his owner KudOktopus is placed in a stainless steel case of 42 mm diameter protected by sapphire crystal on both sides. His leash is made of Alligathor leather and is held together by a fold fastener made of stainless steel.
