Omega sets up camp in Vancouver for Olympic Games

The brand, which will be the official timekeeper of the Olympic Games this year, has opened a boutique in the Fairmont Hotel Vancouver, where it will host a series of events that dovetail with the games, set to take place over a 17-day period beginning Feb. 12. More than 5,500 athletes and officials from 80-plus countries are expected to converge on Vancouver, British Columbia, to help make the upcoming event the largest Olympic Winter Games ever.

The boutique will remain open throughout the Vancouver 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games, and will host all of the events featuring the brand's family of ambassadors that are scheduled to take place during the event.

The store occupies a space of nearly 50 square meters and showcases a full range of Omega timepieces, including the Olympic Games-themed “Timeless Collection” and the Seamaster Diver 300M “Vancouver 2010” Limited Edition watch, which was created to commemorate the 24th time that Omega has served as the Olympic timekeeper.
