www.worldwatchweb.com - Designers Gwenaël Nicolas, Arik Levy and Neil Barrett will each create a limited-edition version of “Pontos Décentrique GMT”, set to be auctioned for a charity of their choosing.
Making an impression in the competitive Swiss watch world is no easy task. Spurning the bells and whistles of status symbol timepieces, Maurice Lacroix has carved its own path with a fine balance of authenticity and innovation. Respecting the handcrafting of the past, the firm manufactures its own cases and refines movements in its workshops, while also pursuing the finest in contemporary design and remaining as independent in spirit as it is in ownership.
Each designer will now create a limited-edition version of Maurice Lacroix's “Pontos Décentrique GMT” watch - which won a prestigious Red Dot Award in 2007 for its unique off-centre dual time display. While the designers add their own touches to what is fast becoming a classic, find them interviewed at www.wallpapper.com. The finished designs will feature in Wallpaper* next spring and are sure to add to Maurice Lacroix's pioneering reputation.
