Michael Wunderman, the President of the Swiss watchmakers Corum recently sailed as 18th man aboard Victory Challenge in their battle against BMW Oracle in the 32nd America’s Cup. Wearing the conspicuous 18th man shirt the rules dictate that Michael must not contribute in any way to the running of the boat but had the chance to experience what many sailors spend their lives dreaming of – having a place aboard in the greatest yachting regatta on earth.



Corum recently became the “Official Timekeeper” of the Victory Challenge and have announced that they are producing a special limited edition version of their new Competition 48 that will mark their debut into the arena of the America’s Cup. Flying the new Corum spinnaker and sporting the Corum logo in fine style on the boom Victory Challenge went into battle with one of the lead contenders of the Cup.



Victory Challenge lost to Oracle but went on to beat United Internet Team, and is currently one of the three teams occupying the fourth semifinal spot.

Corum have the first Competition 48 Victory Challenge Limited Edition pieces and will be launching them when they open the Victory Challenge Corum boutique at the Victory Challenge base at the beginning of May.
