The traditional watch manufacturer Thiel Ruhla, founded in 1862 and known for many decades as one of Germany’s largest watch manufacturers has returned to the market with a new line of products. The Thiel name had been dormant for the 60 years until the great grandchildren of Reinhold Thiel got together and decided to organize the company’s return to the market. Since then, the team, which is under the direction of Caspar Reich, has developed several innovations. The first project is for a foldable Varolink-clasp (patent pending) to be launched in Spring 2007.

Other innovations will follow. The decision to make technically advanced products continues the engineering tradition of the company and requires certain upgrades to the collection of its historical pieces. In this spirit, Thiel Ruhla will continue to innovate in both mechanical and quartz watches.
