In the new Agathon M1107 semi-skeleton watch, Fabergé has created a modern cathedral of our time: all gold, with precious jewels and ultra-fine engraving, this piece embodies a little bit of its maker's pride.

The bottom train plate is hand guilloched, while the wheel bridges are skeletonized, engraved and decorated with hand-blued screws. The bottom train plate is embellished with three diamonds set in gold, one of them concealed under the balance wheel. The face is a little masterpiece in its own right: the guilloched silver face with an off-centre hour and minute indication has set into it a second little gold, enamelled face showing the seconds.

The sapphire fascia with its five screws reveals the essence of the watch. The engraved Romanoff eagle enthroned directly below the crown is a testimony to the watchmaker’s craft. Very few people are permitted to see the mechanism behind the face, though. The fact is that this masterpiece, conceived as an aesthetic monument to the mechanical age, is a limited edition of only 25 worldwide, in either white or rose gold.
