VNU Expositions has appointed Lee Arevian as vice president of its Jewelry Group.
Bringing 15 years of experience in the trade show industry to his new role, Arevian served most recently as group show director for VNU's Hospitality Design Group. In his new position, Arevian will oversee all aspects of the business serving the jewelry industry, which include the JA Shows, Couture Jewellery Collection & Conference, Signature Salons and the VNU Fine Jewelry CEO Summit.
“Lee's extensive tradeshow experience, leadership skills and experience in the design marketplace make him the ideal candidate for this important position,” VNU Expositions Jewelry & Entertainment Group President John Failla said in a company release.
In addition, VNU Expositions named Nancy Robey to the new executive post of Jewelry Group Vice President of Global Business Development. She will remain involved with the Couture Jewellery Collection & Conference, and will report to Arevian.
The company also named Rhonda Bloom as Jewelry Group Operations Director. She will direct the team responsible for the operational execution of all VNU events serving the jewelry industry. With 15 years experience in the trade show industry, Bloom most recently served as director of trade show operations for the National Association of Specialty Foods Trade. Bloom's appointment will allow VNU's Mindy Fielman to focus her efforts on the continued evolution of Couture, the growth of Signature Salons and the newly launched VNU Fine Jewelry CEO Summit.
JA Group Show Director Drew Lawsky remains in his current position, reporting to Arevian. Former Couture Group Show Director Bruce Goldweitz left the company to pursue other interests.
