International Jewellery Design - IJD has just received the licence for manufacturing and distributing the new lines of watches inspired by Sonia Rykiel.

Bearing the “Sonia Rykiel” brand for the women's range and “Rykiel Homme” for the men's, these two collections offer a new example of this famous designer's style, “Rykiel” statement in detail and elegance.




“5 A 7”: “Sonia Rykiel” baguette watch for women




“Teatime”: “Sonia Rykiel” watch with numbers set with zirconia and “Simon”: “Rykiel Homme” mechanical watch for men.


Black, stripes, diamonds in a strass-style, these watches are both bohemian and chic, sporting the timeless codes of the emblematic Saint-Germain des Prés label. The bracelets are in steel or real leather.

The base of the cases, crowns and strap buckles are engraved with the brand and the initials “SR” or “R”.
In May 1968, Sonia Rykiel launched her collection of women's ready-towear and opened her first boutique rue de Grenelle, on the left bank of the Seine in Paris. She created a unique style, identifiable throughout the world, and developed her fashion philosophy (“La Démode”), explaining to women that they must adapt fashion with their own personality.

Over the years, she has extended her activity to other fields: children's clothes, men's ready-to-wear, accessories, perfumes and cosmetics, shoes and watches. Her contribution to fashion's explosion throughout the world has earned her many international awards.

The labels Sonia Rykiel and Rykiel Homme are present all over the world, particularly through many boutiques and concessions.

• “5 A 7”
Under the “Sonia Rykiel” label, a feminine watch with a steel baguette case, waterproof to 3 ATM thanks to its screwed back, equipped with quartz movement. Its enamel dial features the famous Rykiel coloured stripes.

• “Teatime”
Simple and very round, a woman's watch signed “Sonia Rykiel”: a steel case with a screwed back, waterproof to 5 ATM. The black varnished enamel dial has four numbers set with strass-style zirconia.

• “Simon”
With a hand-mounted mechanical movement visible through the back thanks to its mineral crystal, this watch in the “Rykiel homme” range has a screwed back steel case, waterproof to 5 ATM. It is available as a limited edition of only 300 watches, all numbered.
