Korloff is celebrating its twenty-fifth birthday under the sign of creation; after having made a name for itself in the designer jewellery sector, the company is now applying its expertise to watchmaking where it has quickly established itself in the high-end of the market.
The latest line in the collection, combines luxury and mechanical precision (ETA 2892-2 automatic movement) and culminates with the creation of three models with average complications.
The cases (ø 38 or 42 mm) are in steel or pink or white 18-carat gold and are set with 12 or 24 diamonds. The watch face is covered by a curved sapphire crystal with double-sided non-reflective coating and a transparent back that reveals the movement. The sides of the case are decorated with thin intertwined arabesques that repeat the double K of the logo. The steel versions have a classic dial with appliqués.
The pink or white gold versions (without diamonds) show their complicated movements:
one of them has a mechanical regulator with a 40 hour power reserve, signed Louis Erard, that gives the time in an original manner: the hours are displayed in a counter at 12 o’clock, the minutes in the usual position, seconds at 6 o’clock and the power reserve at 9 o’clock.
the other two have a 15-minute repeater module from Dubois Dépraz for the two pink gold versions with a Korloff bevelled oscillating weight. Hours and quarter hours are announced with two different tones, driven by a system of fine hammers. One of the two movements is fully rhodium-plated in black PVD finish that sets of its pink gold oscillating weight, Korloff bevelled and decorated with the new dual screen and set with white diamonds.
