he project brings together Keris’ expertise in enlarged functional watch movements and Visionaries 777’s immersive digital technologies, offering a new way to explore mechanical watchmaking.
At the centre of the showcase is the OM10 mechanism from Open Movement association, reproduced at seven times its original scale by Keris. Faithful to the proportions and kinematics of the original calibre, the enlarged movement transforms the micro-mechanics of watchmaking into a readable mechanical structure, revealing the architecture and interactions of the components.
The physical mechanism is complemented by an augmented reality experience developed by Visionaries 777. Through a dedicated application, the movement is recognised in real time and enhanced with digital content including exploded views, animations and contextual information, allowing visitors to visualise the internal dynamics of the calibre.
By combining a tangible mechanical object with an interactive digital layer, the showcase proposes an alternative approach to understanding watch mechanisms, where the physical movement provides the structure and augmented reality reveals the invisible processes at work.
