annetti’s obsession with stars began with the Regent Full Sky, which has become one of the iconic pieces of the Roman watchmaking house. Now it’s the turn of Galaxy. The dial of the new timepiece has a Corozo base, which is cold enameled on a deep blue base. Corozo, also known as vegetable ivory, is a material made from the seeds of a palm tree that grows in the rainforests of South America. The cold enamelling technique is necessary because the Corozo can’t be exposed to very high temperatures.

The blue background is engraved in such a way as to outline the stars and planets. At that point, the master micro-painter adds colour to create a unique result. In practice, three different artists take turns to complete this timepiece, making each watch unique and different from all the others.

Zannetti Galaxy Regent Collection

The biggest novelty of the Regent Galaxy is its movement: a mechanical movement with the manual winding calibre Z2 MOD, entirely made in Italy by Globe, an independent Haute Horlogerie brand, to Zannetti’s specifications. The Z2 calibre features a distinctive three-quarter plate: a single bridge that covers most of the movement, with only the balance bridge remaining visible. The MOD version used in the Galaxy sees the bridge embellished with a polychrome guilloché enamel, with diamonds set to represent the stars and Saturn.

The case is the new version of the Regent collection in 41 mm steel, with a domed sapphire crystal and customised Zannetti secret signature. The Galaxy is produced in limited series.
