Mühle Glashütte unveils the 29er Big GMT as a global companion

The new 29er Big GMT is the epitome of the motto “luxury follows function”. With the addition of a second time zone to its display, this sporty, elegant, and distinctive watch is the ideal companion for anyone for whom one time zone is simply not enough – whether at their desk or on a globetrotting adventure.

T

his new classic watch proves that grey is an excellent color choice, combining it with elegant black to achieve sophisticated aesthetics sure to look great on every wrist. The second time zone, positioned on the outer ring of the watch, is complemented by a stylish shade of light blue that highlights the number 24 on the time scale. Also in blue, the tip of the GMT hand points to the GMT scale on the rehaut. It consists of a triangular frame, allowing the main time to be easily read.

The rich black of the main watch face forms the perfect background to contrast with the white minute markings and applied indices, which, like the date, are set slightly lower to provide excellent dial readability and coherent design aesthetics.

This impressive display is framed by a 10.3-millimeter-thick stainless steel case and protected by scratch-resistant sapphire crystal. With its low height, the case of the 29er Big GMT is one of the flattest in the current 29er watch family. This is all thanks to the newly designed middle segment, making use of the flatter Mühle-version SW 330-2 automatic movement to reduce the height of the case.

Being lower does not, however, mean being smaller, and like the rest of the 29er Big models, this new watch also has an impressive case diameter of 42.4 millimeters. Its case uses a variety of different surface finishes to create a stunning array of light reflections.

The movements of all new Mühle watches introduced in 2026 come fitted with an exclusive special-edition rotor, and the 4.10-millimeter-thick movement of the 29er Big GMT is no exception. The special-edition rotor is only available in new models that are also manufactured in the year 2026. This is to celebrate “Three Decades of Wrist Watches” in honor of the thirtieth anniversary of wristwatch production at Nautische Instrumente Mühle-Glashütte, which began two years after the company started out making marine chronometers and ship’s timepieces.

What’s more, the movement is fitted with the shock-resistant woodpecker neck fine regulation and meticulously regulated in six different positions. In this process, the watchmakers in Glashütte set it to ensure accuracy values of between 0 and a maximum of +8 seconds per day.
